The Image Storage and Analysis recharge operation service center has been set up to provide image storage and analysis services to researchers at UNC. The service center is a recharge operation and must charge fees to cover the cost of operation. Here is a list of the approved rates and the services included with each one:
1. Annual storage fee, $450/100GB/year internal UNC user, $800/100GB/year external user

-Troubleshooting
-Daily data backup
2. Annual computational server user fee for investigators who need ongoing access to the server. There are two levels of service, Tier 1 and Tier 2:
• Tier 1, $5,000/year internal UNC user, $7,500/year external user
-Initial user setup and training
-Troubleshooting
-Use of center workstations
-Ongoing user support and training
• Tier 2, $3,000/year internal UNC user, $4,600/year external user

3. Short term computational server user fee for investigators who need short term access to the server. There are two plans, Monthly and Bi-weekly:
• Monthly, $800/month internal UNC user, $1,200/month external user
- Initial user setup and training
- Troubleshooting

• Bi-weekly, $500/2 weeks internal UNC user, $750/2 weeks external user

4. Bio-statistical Analysis, $75/hour internal UNC user, $200/hour external user
- Analyze data and provide results
- Provide training and advice for analysis
5. Data Analysis, $75/hour internal UNC user, $200/hour external user

Sample charge for a UNC investigator requiring 500 GB of storage space, and annual Tier 1 computational server access (will do their own data analysis using the center workstations):
Storage, 500 GB x $450/100GB = $2,250
Computational Tier 1, Annual= $5,000
Total annual charge $7,250
Sample charge for a UNC investigator with a short term project requiring 100 GB of storage space for two months, 1 Month of computational server access, and 80 hours of Data Analysis:
Storage, (100 GB x $450/GB)/6= $75
Computational, Monthly, 1 x $800/month= $800
Data Analysis, 80 hours x $75/hour= $6,000
Total charge $6,875
